Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Christoph and I discussed the wording of --force in the account sync command:

occ -vvv mail:account:sync 6 --force

My expectation would be that --force updates everything in the account. What it actually does is run an initial sync only for all mailboxes that have "sync in background" enabled.

Describe the solution you'd like
  • Rename --force to --initial to better reflect its behavior of running an initial sync only for mailboxes with "sync in background" enabled.
  • Add a new option --all that actually syncs every mailbox in the account.

Research direction

Start by locating the account sync command and the option definitions for --force, then trace how it selects mailboxes with "sync in background" enabled. Done means --initial reflects the existing behavior and a separate --all option syncs every mailbox in the account, with the command's tests updated if present.
