Description

https://github.com/nextcloud/ios/releases/tag/5.4.0 introduced a new automatic file naming default.

image

It is not possible anymore to continue upload files (especially photos/videos/media from local photos app) with the system default naming (like "IMG_5614.HEIC").

This breaks a whole media collection for me and likely other use cases for others.

Please re-add the option to use the system default naming, alternatively allow using the Nextcloud iOS app default naming.

Currently the upload photos/videos screen is missing that option since 5.4.0. Hopefully accidentally, not because of dictation.

Research direction

Start at the upload photos/videos screen and compare its behavior before and after the 5.4.0 release. The issue is done when users can select system-default naming, or the app’s previous default naming, and uploaded media retains the selected behavior.
