Description

Steps to reproduce

Settings->Automatic Upload

Expected behaviour

A field to select the date from which the photos should be uploaded would be good.

Actual behaviour

Either the photos are activated or the entire camera memory is uploaded.

Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?

I have photos from the last twelve years on my phone and have reinstalled Nextcloud or reinstalled the iOS app several times since then. As soon as I activate uploading, I always have to re-upload all the photos, even though most of them are already sorted away in the cloud. Of course I have the option of only uploading the newly created photos from now on. Unfortunately, this is not always enough.

Research direction

Start at Settings → Automatic Upload and inspect the existing automatic-upload flow. Define how a recording-date cutoff should interact with the current option to upload only newly created photos, then verify that photos before the selected date are excluded while later photos upload.
