Research direction
Reproduce on iOS 16.6.1 with Nextcloud iOS 4.9.1.0, Nextcloud 27.1.2, and SQLite using the listed E2EE and camera-roll steps. Trace the auto-sync photos path and E2EE-folder handling; done means photos can be auto-synced into an encrypted folder without the reported enablement or sync error.
