Description
Steps to reproduce
- use app for x amount of time, automatic image upload gets disrupted
- arbitrary reset of upload settings to default settings
Expected behaviour
when setting up automatic image uploads, defining folders and upload folder creation as well as file naming conventions, I expect the program to do just that, until I tell it to do anything different. And if -as happened at least 10 times to me by now- the image transfers get disrupted and setting up automatic uploads yet again, it doesn't start uploading files until new files are created after re-enabling this, and doesn't check which files are actually not uploaded. And there is no fallback app functionality that covers this too frequently occuring event, like a possibility to at least manually select the files that have been missed and upload them using the designated upload folder and the selected naming convention.
Tell us what should happen.
I would expect the app to not reset the automatic upload settings AT ALL, ever, yet it keeps happening. On five different devices with 3 different user accounts. Never at the same time, so it can't be any server update or similar. At least an instant notification that it DID do so would be necessary to setup the automatic transfer again before taking hundreds of photos before realizing it got reset.
If that does happen for some reason, I would expect the app to check for last file uploaded and upload all files that have been missed instead of either a) not uploading any photo that has been taken in the meantime or b) upload the ENTIRETY of ALL PHOTOS TAKEN again.
Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?
Because it's a major pain in the a$$ if the app keeps resetting its upload preferences (or any other prefs) at will, without notification, and having to manually sort through hundreds or thousands of images, create the corresponding folders and rename the files manually.

Research direction
No file, test, or entry point is named. Reproduce the automatic image upload settings reset on iOS, then trace where those preferences are stored and restored; done means identifying the reset cause and covering recovery of missed files without duplicate uploads.
