Description

Hi, this is not a bug report, rather a feature request: As the iOS Nextcloud app develops steadily and beautifully (thanks for this amazing work), there is still a major gap on iOS: a proper app for Notes. There is indeed CloudNotes, which used to work smoothly and get the job done, but it is now completely dysfunctional (I have opened a bug report here, but the dev does not seem to be reactive any more, and for quite a while now). Alternatives include the Nextcloud app directly (by browsing to the notes folder and deal with them like regular text files), which is not a very satisfying experience for notes (it works for occasional edits, but not for a regular use); the other solution is Notebooks for iPhone, which is rather heavy duty and with a painful integration with Nextcloud (WebDAV sync needs to be called manually, for instance on app start and after editing).

My question is thus rather simple: Is there a plan (or an alternative I wasn't aware of) for a simple and stable notes app for iPhone? Thanks a lot in advance for your consideration.

Research direction

The issue names no repository files, tests, or implementation entry point. Start by reviewing the existing iOS app and the Notes-related alternatives mentioned in the issue, then determine whether a simple, stable Notes app is planned or what scope an implementation would require. Done would be a documented plan or an implemented alternative, but the issue does not define acceptance criteria.
