Description

FEATURE REQUEST

Sometimes it happens, that i need to do NC Release Upgrade (yes, this happens from time to time :-) ) ..
Sometimes it happens, that i would need access to my NC-Documents on the iPhone's Nextcloud App.

In preparation, I marked the files & folders as "offline" so that I can access them (into the Nextcloud iOS App).

But the Nextcloud iOS app also needs ONLINE access to the cloud to at least read the index, to serve the user with the (offline) files.

This is of course suboptimal - because if a user really has no network anymore (no Wifi, no Lan, no Mobile/3G/4G/5G) - nothing - then he also no longer comes to his NC offline documents.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the iOS offline-file and local-index handling, then define and test access when the app has no network; done means marked offline files and folders remain browsable and readable without contacting Nextcloud.
