Description
Expected behaviour
-
performing a iOS System-wide search, files stored in Nextcloud with turned-on Files-App-Integration will appear in the results.
-
When performing a search within the iOS-Files-App, files stored in Nextcloud with turned-on Files-App-Integration will appear in the results.
Actual behaviour
ad 1. files stored in Nextcloud do not appear within the results. Files stored in - for example - iCloud or Boxcryptor do appear.
ad 2. Same behaviour as ad 1., even when specifically searching the Files-App-Integrated Nextcloud-Folder: No results at all.
Steps to reproduce
Perform searches as described above
Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?
System-wide search/Search without entering the Nextcloud-app is a Basic feature for a fluent use of a cloud service.
At least a search among the Filenames should be possible, fulltext would be great, but probably way harder to implement.
iOS version
13.5.1
App version
3.0.0.76

Research direction
Start by reproducing the missing results in iOS system-wide search and the Files app with Files-App-Integration enabled, using the reported iOS and app versions if available. Trace the app's Files-App integration and search entry points. Done means Nextcloud filenames appear in both search locations, with full-text search treated as a separate enhancement.
