Description
When Deck (version 1.9.5) is in compact mode, card page opens on the sidebar on the right.
If you have many notifications, and you click on one of theme referring to a Deck card, the card is selected and the url changes (works fine), but the user is not informed about it.
The user must close the notification dropdown panel to discover that the card he clicked is now open on the sidebar.
Possible solutions:
- move the sidebar containing open cards on the left, this way it's not covered by the notification dropdown panel
- automatically close the notification dropdown panel when clicked
- a message toast informing the user that the card is open but is "under" the notification dropdown panel

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue in Deck 1.9.5 with compact mode enabled: open the notification dropdown, select a notification referring to a card, and observe the sidebar. Trace the notification-dropdown and card-opening entry points involved; done means the selected card is discoverable without manually closing the dropdown, using one of the listed UX approaches.
