Description
Hi!
When editing the chat field from Thunderbird or in Android, for examble Jabber, it is not identified
correctly in Nextcloud. I see the chat field with not type, and its contend is xmpp:.
I wonder, editing a chat field with no type is not possible inside the contacts app.
First I used the Sogo connector in Tunderbird and now Dav-4-TBsync, both the same behaviour.
With Android I use Davdroid.
I filed a bug in Dav-4-TBsync, and the dev checked it against Owncloud, where it was identified
correctly.

Research direction
No source file or test is named. Reproduce the contact sync using Thunderbird or Android and inspect how the contacts app identifies the Jabber/XMPP chat field, comparing the result with Owncloud. Done means the field is recognized with the correct type and its xmpp address is preserved.
