Research direction

Start at the contacts group page and reproduce the reported sequence on the stated Contact, Nextcloud, PHP, and MariaDB versions: create a group, add members, then refresh. Trace the user search results and group persistence behavior. Done means users appear in the add-members window and the newly created group remains after refresh.
