Description
When nextcloud is used with a ldap backend it would be useful to allow the user to search in the ldap directory for contacts. It would be interesting both for browsing the directory (to get phone numbers, departments, etc.) and for creating contact groups with ldap contacts without the user having to create duplicate contacts (local & ldap).

Research direction
No file or test is identified in the issue. Start by tracing how the Contacts app currently loads contacts and creates groups, then determine the LDAP integration boundary. Done means users can browse LDAP contacts and add them to groups without creating duplicate local contacts, with coverage for both behaviors.
