Empty event gets created when selecting another event

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to weekly view, make sure you have disabled the simple / easy editor in the calendar settings
2. Create an event in the calendar with some title (doesn't matter which title) and save it
3. Click on a blank space in the calender to trigger a new event creation dialog
4. without entering anything in the fields, select the previously created event in the calendar
5. a untitled event gets created as soon the other event gets selected

Expected behavior

I expect it to not create an empty / untitled event when the fields are empty.
Just as clicking between empty spots doesn't create empty events.

Start by reproducing the issue in the weekly view with the simple/easy editor disabled, following the listed steps. Trace the event creation and event-selection flow; done means selecting an existing event from an empty creation dialog does not save an untitled event, while normal event creation still works.
