https://github.com/nextcloud/calendar/pull/5498 reverted the changes from https://github.com/nextcloud/calendar/pull/5161 to remedy https://github.com/nextcloud/calendar/issues/5476
With some DB improvements, the custom categories should be able to be brought back.
There's also an issue with localisation, attached are the logs for the errors concering the labels here:
