Backup to multiple locations, improve instructions

Description
It seems impossible to configure multiple locations for backups or is it backing up to all locations specified under "Restoring points locations"
It is generally very hard to figure out what setting is doing what. Like "Choose where the backup app will initially store the restoring points." What exactly does this mean? I believe it means it creates the backups on this location? But what happens afterwards, please be more specific.
In the retention policy there is an option for local copies. But what if you use an external location as initial location? This is also very confusing.
