Description

is this behavior intentional?
cuz this will just bloat the user data backup with basically redundant all previous Nextcloud version installs 😵

or should these files actually be delete by the Nextcloud updater itself and are just happen to be leftovers in my case??

Research direction

Start by tracing how /updater- files are selected for backup and whether the Nextcloud updater is expected to remove them. Reproduce the case with old updater directories and compare the resulting backup contents. Done means the behavior is confirmed and documented, or redundant files are excluded or cleaned up with coverage for the expected result.
