"Recents" in Android app

I would like the team to consider adding "Recents" in the Android app. It would save users from navigating through endless folders to find/open/download a file.

The recents could be displayed as a line on top of the files with vertical scroll capability as showcased in draft, or it can be displayed horizontally like google Drive (pros: more space to display thumbnails in detail; cons: takes lot of estate). Either way I would make this feature optional with disable/enable for those who dont need it. But Id consider it very useful myself.
