### Steps to reproduce

1. Install Nextcloud Android app (for example, Nextcloud Android Files 2026-02-19)
2. Log in
3. Open `On device` menu via Hamburger
4. Count time while empty list is loading

### Expected behaviour

Empty list loads instantly.

### Actual behaviour

It can take up to 25 seconds to load an empty list. However, if I download/cache some file, then `on device` list loads almost instantly.

LineageOS 23.0-20260203

### Device brand and model

Xiaomi Redmi 4X

Nextcloud Android Files 2026-02-19

### Nextcloud server version

32.0.6

Yes

### Additional information

There is no issue on Samsung A24, Android 16, Nextcloud 3.34.1 F-Droid.
