'On this day' feature in the app with notifications

In a web client we already have very neat function showing photos taken 'on this day' in the past. It would be awesome to have it in the mobile app as well - with notifications on the phone - same as in Google Photos app. Technically this should not be hard to be implemented as web client already has that feature.
