Feature request can be related to the issue #1137

My different users can't see relevant activities on the dashboard widget: the same than "All activities " (which is the default endpoint when opening “Activity”). It's really confusing and gives the impression that the widget is not working properly, because in some cases you can't see any new activities for a while.

Describe the solution you'd like
Adding a small cog icon at the top right of the widget could be used to select the activity endpoint from which activities will be pulled.
The activity endpoints list will be same than when clicking on “Activity” in the left-hand side panel.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Add a dropdown configuration option in the user profile.
OR
Change widget endpoint from 'by' to 'all` (less flexibility, non-privileged solution).

Additional context
The objective is to be able to take advantage of all activity feeds with the widget on the dashboard.

Start by tracing the dashboard activity widget and comparing it with the Activity entry in the left-hand panel, then review the available activity endpoints described in the issue. Done means users can choose an activity endpoint from the widget and see the corresponding feed, with the alternatives and access constraints resolved.
