Description

This task should be part of the develop-build and other official releases.

Several options:

  • Just run the performance test for 30 seconds and run it again for another 30 seconds to collect the result and report the result on the console.

  • Set an expectation in the performance test to ensure that result is within the expectation. If it exceeds the expectation, stop the build and report an error? Or just display as an error message? Or just send an email to the product owner?

Research direction

Start by locating the develop-build and official release definitions, then identify how a wrk performance test could be invoked. Before implementation, resolve whether the task should report results only, enforce an expectation, stop the build, or notify someone; done is an agreed behavior included in the specified release flows.
