Description

Problem

The latest available version for OpenWRT is 1.33.1

Description

Is it possible to create an up-to-date version of the package for OpenWRT 24-25 without compiling packages?
The latest available version is netdata
v1.33.1. With a large number of identical devices on the network, it's not very convenient to monitor each one individually.
And the monitoring server complains... Need update (2 Nodes)
Please upgrade to ensure you get the latest security and bug fixes.
To update your nodes to the latest version, please read our documentation and find direct links for each node depending on where it is running and/or how it was installed.

Importance

really want

Value proposition
  1. Ability to cover a larger number of devices
  2. Ability to monitor routers
  3. More information about bugs, problems, and improvements from network specialists
  4. Potential for enterprise deployment
Proposed implementation

Compile the source code into a package for OpenWrt 24 and 25; this can be done on a test virtual machine running x86.

Research direction

Start by locating the existing package and build or release process for Netdata on OpenWrt, then compare its current 1.33.1 packaging with OpenWrt 24 and 25 requirements. Confirm how the source is compiled into installable packages and validate the result on the proposed x86 test virtual machine.
