Description

Bug description

https://ubuntu.com/blog/18-04-end-of-standard-support

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS will remain fully supported until April 2028 with an Ubuntu Pro subscription.

Expected behavior

Netdata should support with native packages, the major enterprise distributions of Linux, such as:

  1. Redhat Enterprise Linux
  2. Centos
  3. Ubuntu
  4. Suse

For these distributions, any version officially supported by them, should also be supported by Netdata, with native packages.

Failure to support these Linux versions, means that Netdata will be limited to target non-enterprises, or enterprise teams with recently installed infra.

Steps to reproduce

Ubuntu 18.04 is still supported by Ubuntu, but is not supported by Netdata.

Installation method

kickstart.sh
