multi-touch / pinch-zoom troubles on android

I have already posted the problem at https://github.com/NativeScript/android/issues/1827, but maybe someone here has an idea on what's going wrong.

Which platform(s) does your issue occur on?

• Android
• tested on Android 13+
• devices, all phones
• tested with versions 1.4.11 and 1.5.0

Please, provide the following version numbers that your issue occurs with:

• CLI: 8.8.2
• Cross-platform modules: 8.8.2
• Runtime(s): android 8.8.5

Please, tell us how to recreate the issue in as much detail as possible.

Even the simplest project with just a single webview fails to work with multi-touch in the webview.

Is there any code involved?

I created a preview app at https://stackblitz.com/edit/nativescript-stackblitz-templates-fblndg?file=app%2Fcomponents%2FHome.vue, but the webview does not show any content in NS-preview.
Generating a simple app with only a webview showing a pinch-zoom test https://humphryscomputing.com/test.pinch.html or https://coderundebug.com/blog/pinch-zoom-move-rotate-image/ should suffice.

Start with app/components/Home.vue and the minimal single-WebView reproduction described in the issue, then review the linked NativeScript Android issue for related findings. Reproduce on Android 13+ with the listed runtime versions and compare the referenced pinch-zoom test pages; done means multi-touch and pinch-zoom work inside the WebView.
