Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Code as implemented utilizes endian.h, non-posix functions.

Describe the solution you'd like
Could custom implement byte ordering in CopyData w/ a few updates. Would need updated handling of the header fields.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Leave as-is, it works.

Research direction

Start with cmdUtil's CopyData implementation and the header-field handling that currently relies on endian.h; review the linked PR #92 discussion for context. Done means custom byte-order logic replaces the non-POSIX dependency and header handling is updated, but the issue names no tests.
