Description
Currently we download the last chunk of each file once to get the verified size, and then again download them during the actual download. This is 1 KiB of overhead per file - no big deal in many cases, but will be noticeable if you have lots of tiny files.
We could avoid that by writing the chunk we download for the size info.

Research direction
Inspect the download flow to find where the last chunk is fetched for verified size and where the file is downloaded again. Reuse the size-check chunk during the actual download so each file's final chunk is transferred once; done when the duplicate 1 KiB download is eliminated without changing file contents or verified sizes.
