Description
Your idea
Currently there are special fonts in use for tablature notation (see #34658).
The current solution should be replaced by switching over completely to SMuFL based glyphs.
Problem to be solved
Styling of tablature notation by choosing another music font is very limited – basically just the clef and articulations are coming from the chosen SMuFL font.
Prior art
Other music software (Finale, Dorico, Verovio, …) are using the respective SMuFL ranges.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points; begin by reviewing the current special-font implementation referenced in #34658 and the SMuFL requirements. Done means tablature notation has switched completely to SMuFL-based glyphs and no longer depends on the current special fonts.
