Description

Your idea

Currently, when choosing Tools > Toggle Rhythmic Slash Notation, the characters White Slash Half (U+E103) and the Slash with Horizontal Ends (U+E101) are used by default. I would request the option to use the Large White Diamond (U+E104) and the Slash with Vertical Ends (U+E100) as default characters.

(Stems not attaching to the substituted noteheads has been reported as a bug in a separate submission.)

I use the Finale Maestro font, but the same issue occurs no matter which font is chosen.

Problem to be solved

I have moved from 20+ years with Finale to MuseScore. I am a volunteer copyist with the Barbershop Harmony Society, and in my opinion, the rhythmic slash notation in Finale was much more attractive than that in MSS 4.7.3. Also, my overseers at BHS prefer the Finale look. Although I can replace the characters from the Master Palette > Slash on an individual basis, it's a lot of extra work.

This problem has been discussed in the MuseScore forum https://musescore.org/en/node/394413
