Your idea
My idea is to include an option to show the duration (quarter, 8th, 16th, etc) attached to the numerator of a tuplet ratio, resulting in tuplets designed like the one on the image:
Problem to be solved
This is extremely necessary in situations with nested tuplets where secondary tuplets are of uneven ratio's numerator, like the example below.
Actual workarounds are very fragile, specially at respecting fine position when ending layout, stretching measures or extracting parts.
Prior art
I remember Finale used to have this option, but I no longer have access to it to give more details.
