Description

Your idea

It would be great if MuseScore could include an optional playback mode (in continues view) where the playhead stays fixed on the left side of the screen, and the score scrolls from right to left.

This “treadmill-style” view makes reading much smoother and more intuitive, especially for:

Beginners

Sight-reading practice

Music education

Keeping the eyes in one place greatly improves focus and continuity while following the music.

This type of feature is already available in other music notation programs and has proven to be very effective.

Adding this as an optional mode would be a valuable improvement for both learners and educators.

Problem to be solved

When playing back a score in MuseScore (in continues view), the reading experience is not very smooth because the playhead moves across the screen and the view shifts abruptly. This makes it harder to follow the music continuously, especially for beginners and in educational settings.

A smoother, more stable reading experience would improve focus and make it easier to track the score in real time.
