Description

Your idea

Format > Style dialog currently has "Reset all styles to default" and this seems like a natural place to also have "Set current style as default" or similar option/pathway to modify the default style

Problem to be solved

When user preferences are different from the default style, there is no obvious way to change the default style, and so many input actions are wasted applying the same styles again and again to new documents.

If there is already a way to modify the default style, please make this visible/accessible from Format>Style dialog.

Otherwise please add a "Set current style as default" button or some other way of modifying the default style from Format>Style.

Research direction

Start by locating the Format > Style dialog and reviewing how its existing "Reset all styles to default" action handles style defaults. Determine the intended workflow for making the current style apply to new documents, then verify that the chosen pathway is visible from the dialog and works consistently.
