Description

Your idea

Musescore Team - When I transcribe pieces with two or more movements, I separate them with section breaks from the Layout palette. It would be a great convenience to be able to navigate to the system following the next and previous section break marks with a shortcut. Is that a feature that could be added to navigation?
Attached is a sample score where movements are separated by section breaks.

Thanks - Rob/Hitchcock1939

Problem to be solved

There are actions to navigate to the first and last elements in a score, and move forward and back by a page or a measure, but there is no action to move to the measure after a section break. If the purpose of section breaks is to separate major changes in a piece, for example, movements, then it would be helpful to have an easy way to assign a shortcut to a action that would let you navigate by movements. Attached is a score that contains section breaks to separate movements. The first is on pp.8.

Research direction

Start by locating the existing actions for moving to the first and last score elements and for moving by page or measure, then inspect how section breaks are represented in the attached sample score. Done means previous and next section-break navigation actions can be assigned shortcuts and move to the appropriate following or preceding system.
