UX/Interaction bug (incorrect behaviour)

Description with steps to reproduce
  1. Click the gear next to "Automatically hide staves" in Properties, the settings submenu opens
  2. Click in the properties panel, the settings submenu closes
  3. Open the submenu again and this time click on the score, clicking no longer closes the submenu unless you click on the gear icon again or the properties panel refreshes
