Description

Your idea

Support for dynamic playing zone support and engraving on VDL and Musesounds snares? The staff text system alone isn't very polished and doesn't meet the standard notation seen(sometimes using letters or fractions, and showing zone transitions). It is somewhat possible to do this manually but it isn't ideal and isn't supported in playback.

Problem to be solved

This would solve issues with zone notation and playback with musesounds and vdl snares.

Additional context

Playback is the biggest annoyance with this because there is no good way to replicate how it should sound, while with engraving you can kind of do it.

Research direction

The issue does not identify files, tests, or entry points to inspect. Begin by locating the existing snare playback and engraving handling, then define the required behavior for dynamic playing zones in VDL and Musesounds snares; done means the zones are represented in notation and supported in playback.
