Description
Your idea
Allow the user to disable any Properties pop-up menu that obscures the score viewing area. This can be done in the Preferences tab.
Problem to be solved
These large Properties pop-up menus obscure a significant part of the score. When I click text in a frame, I can not read the score to update the text. This is a nuisance and I would prefer to disable the pop-up. Note the Properties menu is easy to access via a tab off to the side and the pop-up is redundant.
Prior art
Finale does not use pop-ups that obscure the score.
Additional context
These Properties pop-ups started with version 4.6.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the Properties pop-up and the Preferences tab in the desktop UI; done means users can disable the pop-up menus from Preferences and the score remains unobscured when editing text.
