Description

Issue type

UI bug (incorrect info or interface appearance)

Description with steps to reproduce

I acknowledge that Wayland is considered experimental, but I'll report the issue anyway to help to improve its support.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open MuseScore with MU_QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland on Linux
  2. Open any score
  3. The entire UI looks correct, but the entire page/score is offset to the right instead of displaying at the center of the window
  4. Start playback
  5. The cursor appears in (probably) correct position relative to the window, but incorrect related to the score.

Research direction

Reproduce the issue in MuseScore 4.6.3 on Fedora 43 with GNOME 49, 4K scaling, and MU_QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland, then open a score and start playback. Trace the score positioning and playback-cursor behavior under Wayland; done means the score is centered and the cursor aligns with it.
