Localize description in Microsoft Store

Your idea

Microsoft Store collects information on where users are and may provide products and services in different available languages accordingly. (See Geographic Availability in Microsoft Store Terms of Sale. The Terms may be not only translated but also substaincially different in different countries and regions.)

Thus it may be possible to localize the description of this application there.

Problem to be solved

Allow people to read the description in their preferred language.

This will be of great convenience for non-native English speakers.

Prior art

[Surface Diagnostic Toolkit](https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NF1MR6C60ZF) have been localized at least into [Simplified Chinese](https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NF1MR6C60ZF?hl=zh-hans&gl=CN&ocid=pdpshare) in People's Republic of China.

  MuseScore includes a set of sounds that reproduce common instruments (as defined by General MIDI) without taking up a lot of disk space or memory, but you can also substitute any SoundFont you prefer for a wider variety of sounds or for more realism.

  MuseScore can import and export MIDI and MusicXML files, and it can also import from Capella and several other programs. MuseScore can export to PDF, PNG, and other graphic formats, to WAV and other audio formats, or to Lilypond for an alternative layout and print option.

And I have installed MuseScore Studio 4 from WinGet instead of Microsoft Store on 2025-03-31 because the version from Microsoft Store had kept silent when playing scores (as shown in the following screenshot but it seems there is no valuable information…), but I had no idea about it (I'm not sure if this happens now… maybe install it from Microsoft Store back again later).

You'd need to locate the executable, MuseScore3.exe, respectively. MuseScore4.exe, which isn't easy for the Microsoft Store version, but is possible (using Explorer's search facility). Once found, you should be able to follow the handbook's advice on using command line options.

For my instance of V4, I have to quote the directory instead of its name as follows:

MuseScore4.exe

Or something like that.

This software needs to write something into the environmental variables or the registry to make its name recognized? I'm not sure.

I am not sure if the description in Microsoft Store is automatically syncronized with that provided by WinGet. If not, that provided by WinGet should also be localized for the similar rationale.
