Description

Your idea

Under Add → Frames, add a submenu: Insert at beginning of score that mirrors the existing Insert at end of score submenu (i.e. containing menu items Horizontal Frame, Vertical Frame, Text Frame and Fretboard diagram legend).

Problem to be solved

Currently, the Frames menu has an Insert at end of score submenu. It would be very helpful to have the same thing, but with Insert at beginning of score, as there are currently a few steps to go through to insert a text frame before any other frames in the score (i.e. if you wanted a title page).

For instance, if you currently want to insert a title page in your score, you have to know that you have to select the first text frame, then add a vertical frame to that. A single menu item would make this easier.

Prior art

Most other music notation apps have the ability to easily add a title page and front matter page.

Research direction

Start by locating the existing Add → Frames → Insert at end of score submenu and inspect how its menu items are defined. Mirror that submenu for insertion at the beginning, including Horizontal Frame, Vertical Frame, Text Frame and Fretboard diagram legend, then verify each item works in a score.
