Specialized Playback for Arpeggiating Instruments

Instruments such as the violin do not play triple or quadruple-note chords altogether. They play them instead:

I suggest that there be a setting for solo string instruments and harps to provide realistic playback in the manner outlined above. Yes, there is no way of knowing precisely what sort of arpeggiation the user wants, but this will at least come closer to realistic playback where it is needed.

Problem to be solved

When writing a solo violin piece or something similar, the composer is currently forced to write in every arpeggiation himself, and then hide the arpeggio markings if he wants playback that is a closer approximation of a real performance of the chords.
