Description

Your idea

Please add nose whistle as a standard instrument. Not only are plastic ones sold in music stores everywhere in bright colors, it's a legitimate instrument made of wood, clay, or sheet metal, played in several parts of the world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nose_whistle

Problem to be solved

Nose Whistle is not included as a standard instrument in MuseScore, and adding it would solve that.

Prior art

Additional context

The range might vary from person to person, as the player selects the notes by changing the shape of their mouth, and everyone's mouths are different. But these are the parameters I use when I set up this instrument in my scores:

Long instrument name: Nose Whistle
Short instrument name: N. Wh.
Usable pitch range:
Amateur: G4 - A6
Professional: F#4 - A6

Transposition: Octave(s) +: 0 - Perfect unison

Research direction

Start by locating the existing standard-instrument definitions in MuseScore and compare how an instrument entry records names, range, and transposition. Done means Nose Whistle is available as a standard instrument with the requested long name, short name, and stated pitch-range and transposition values.
