Description
Your idea
I saw that MS doesn't have this capability yet. Hence am trying to put it on the road map. Would love to see as integral part, perhaps an official plugin into MS.
Problem to be solved
My idea, is similar to what Sibelius (don't use the Sibelius, but I saw how it works ) does it:
- Audio Input: input audio either by playing a recorded track, or performing live through a microphone.
- Audio Analysis: The software analyzes the audio to detect pitches, rhythms, and other musical elements.
- Transcription: create a transcription of the recognized elements into music notation, creating a score that one could edit and refine.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by breaking the proposal into audio input, audio analysis, and transcription requirements; the work would be done when recognized pitches and rhythms become an editable music-notation score.
