Lenovo keyboard: When I assign a keyboard shortcut on a Lenovo keyboard with the Alt+G key (not AltGr+G), then I see Alt+Ṅ on the screen

Description with steps to reproduce

1. make sure you are using Lenovo keyboard
2. go to Preferences -> Shortcuts
3. select any shortcut and assign the Alt+G shortcut

Actual: Screen displays Alt+Ṅ rather than Alt+G
Expected: Screen should set shortcut as Alt+G
