Your idea
Allow users to change the padding of two-note tremolo beams / distance between the endpoints of the two-note tremolo beam and the stems, both locally and score-wise.
Problem to be solved
Currently, the distance between the endpoints of the two-note tremolo beam and the stems is a fixed value (1sp by visual estimate) and cannot be modified.
In the case of tight spacing, such as the example shown below, the gaps would be too large:
