Weird behaviour of the zoom shortcuts in lyrics input mode when set to + and -

(Edited after @bkunda comment)

1. change the zoom in shortcut in + and the zoom out shortcut in - (the same for the hyphen in lyrics)
2. add lyrics to some notes by Ctrl + L and some hyphens with -
3. in LYRICS INPUT MODE, if you press + the sign + appears; if you press - it zooms out.

Why is that? The behaviour is incoherent: + writes + but - enables the zoom.
