Description

Your idea

I would greatly appreciate if there were presets for 7, 8 and 9 string electric guitars, as well as tablature presets for 7, 8 and 9 string instruments.

Problem to be solved

It is very much a hassle to add strings to each of my guitars every time I create a score or add another guitar into my score.

Prior art

I have not used other music notation software.

Additional context

If figuring out what clef to use becomes an issue, I suggest using a regular bass clef for 7, 8 and 9 string standard tuning electric guitars, as the lower range would be covered without too many ledger lines.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named in the issue. Start by locating the existing electric-guitar and tablature preset definitions, then compare how string counts, tunings, and clefs are represented. Done means presets are available for 7-, 8-, and 9-string electric guitars and their tablature variants.
