Description

Issue type

Muse Sounds bug

Bug description

With ff dynamic, even notes that are unslurred and explicitly marked all with downbows are played with an inappropriate portamento effect between them

Steps to reproduce
  1. Create a new score with Violins 1 (Muse Sounds)
  2. Enter the notes of a G major scale in 1/8 notes, starting at a low G
  3. Add downbow articulations to all notes
  4. Add a ff dynamic marking at the beginning
  5. Play it back - it sounds nothing like the separated note effect you'd expect to hear from string players here, with an impossible portamento etc.
  6. Even if you replace the downbow articulation with mezzo-staccato (tenuto-staccato) markings it still sounds somewhat similar. There appears to be no way of getting it to be played as notes that are held for most of the full duration (~80-90%) but with a clear attack on each note with a separation between the notes. Even if you notate it with dotted 1/16ths with a clear 1/32 rest between each!

MuseScore Version

Regression

I don't know

Operating system

Windows 11

Additional context

It's nowhere near as bad with Violins 2 (and basically fine for Violas/Cellos), and it's OK at dynamics below mf (though there's still a lack of attack on each note)
