Description

Your idea

I envision this setting as a set of 3 buttons, one for the standard 1/2, one for taking just 1/3 the length of the main note(what I want), and one for taking 2/3 of the length of the main note(what MS3 does).

Appoggiatura

Problem to be solved

This would allow me to set the grace note so that I can have it take only a quarter note's duration away from a dotted half which is the general interpretation I hear for a dotted half with an appoggiatura grace note in Mozart and other Classical Era composers.

Prior art

Additional context

Example of the dotted note with a grace note:

Mozart Piano Concerto no. 21 Second Movement:

And the playback that I would desire from this:

Research direction

The issue proposes three settings for appoggiatura duration: 1/2, 1/3, and 2/3 of the main note, with playback matching the requested Mozart example. No files, tests, or entry points are named, so first locate the grace-note playback and related settings UI; done means the three choices produce the stated durations.
