Description

Your idea

In works of music theatre, there are always suggestions from editors, performance traditions or stage requirements to shorten pieces.

This is usually indicated in the scores with the two signs "Vi-" (at the beginning of the leap) and "-de" (at the end of the leap). MS 4.4 should introduce these signs in "repetitions and leaps". It is important that these jumps can be made from and to any position in the bar and not from bar to bar as with the existing jumps (e.g. "Da capo al segno", "segno" etc).

In the properties panel, it should also be possible to select whether or not the jump is executed in MS when the score is played.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are identified. Start by locating the Repetitions & leaps panel and the handling of existing jumps, then trace the related properties and playback behavior; done means the Vi-de signs support jumps at arbitrary positions within bars and an execution choice is available in the properties panel.
