Description
Issue type
Muse Sounds bug
Bug description
Dynamic anomalies:
1st movement:
- bar 106 crescendos into a fortissimo into bar 108. No crescendo is heard and at 108, the volume only barely increases, certainly not to a fortissimo.
- bar 201. 1st violin suddenly gets quieter, although no dynamic change is indicated.
- bar 206. 1st and 2nd violins are marked p, viola and cello are marked ff. However, there is no difference in volume in any instrument.
2nd movement:
- bar 2. halfway through the 4th beat, the dynamic gets suddenly louder. Same thing at the 4th beat of bar 3.
- bar 3. Second beat plays subito pp, though no dynamic change is indicated.
- bar 5, 2nd violin and viola are marked p, but they sound noticeably louder than the 1st violin. Changing this to pp, or ppp makes no difference. 2nd violin and viola continue to sound at the same volume.
- bar 30, the viola is marked mf, a bar later, the 1st violin is marked mp. They both crescendo in the following bar 32, and bar 35. But in bar 36, the 1st violin is quite loud and the viola is barely audible. Starting from a mf, the viola should be at least as loud as the 1st violin.
- bar 54, the 2nd violins are marked pp, yet they sound quite loud. When the 1st violin and viola come in midway through the bar at mf, they sound at about the same volume as the 2nd violins.
- bar 56 2nd violin and cell have a decrescendo, but it has no effect.
3rd movement:
bar 149. 1st violin plays subito piano, though there is no dynamic change from the previous mf.
