Description
Your idea
It would be very useful to have some way to send MIDI Control Change and Program Change events to allow for better synchronizing MuseScore and external hardware and software.
Problem to be solved
This would make it possible for MuseScore playback to automatically trigger certain functions of external hardware and software, such as settings presets and other things that should be automated. There also should be some way to automate these over time, allowing for smooth volume changes and similar things.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating MuseScore's playback and MIDI output paths, then clarify how Control Change, Program Change, and time-based automation should be represented and triggered. Done means playback can send these events to external hardware or software, including automated changes over time.
